INTERN/VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

EQUAL GROUND's INTERN/VOLUNTEER PROGRAM is proving to be quite a success. At the beginning of this year (2006) we had 2 volunteers from the American Jewish World Services assist us with strategic and financial planning. They were an enormous help to EG and we thank them for taking the time to spend 3 months in Sri Lanka helping out the organisation.

"We feel it's been an amazing experience and very productive. EG is blessed with a highly capable and committed Board. They are all people with extraordinarily busy lives yet they are making time for EG. There is much to be said for the passion which they feel about the goals of the organization. In addition, they are really smart ---- both IQ and EQ. It has been such a pleasure to work with the five who we have met". Judith and David Sanders, Volunteers.

Soon after, in May 2006, we had an intern from the Masters program at the American University in Washington D.C. (USA).

"This program to me, is a huge success. There is much knowledge to be gained from interning with EQUAL GROUND. My time in Sri Lanka was enriched working with an organisation that has so much passion and commitment to it's cause. I have no hesitation in recommending EQUAL GROUND.
